The Shorebirds Trust strives to be a vital partner, integral driver and significant contributor to the recovery of shorebirds and biodiversity, and provides invaluable scientific rigor to the endangered shore birds recovery efforts.

  • Te Arai-Pakiri coastline, including the Tara Iti Ecological Sanctuary, be nationally recognised as a model of increased coastal biodiversity

  • Tara iti (NZ Fairy Terns) increases numbers to a growing and self-sustaining population
