2021 SHELL ENHANCEMENT PROJECT (Year 3) 26/10/21

Shell Enhancement Project:  The Shorebirds Trust funded DOC’s recent shell patch work which included the development of a new shell patch at both Waipu and Mangawhai. Also, a high risk shell patch at Mangawhai site was disabled to encourage the birds to use the other safer shell patches that have been created over the last three years (all funded by the Shorebirds Trust).  Keep your fingers crossed the fairy terns like the new accommodations!
